"The therapist under the supervision of Dr. Ripplinger was able to help me process some of the things I needed help with"
It’s normal to fall into patterns and routines that may be keeping you from achieving your full potential.
I work with professional men and women who are coping with persistent intrusive thoughts, stagnant personal and/or professional relationships, substance dependence where life is functional but on the edge of going out of control, and folks who need help processing acute traumatic events.
Emphasizing a curious, nonjudgmental yet direct approach, we will look to better understand and explore the patterns of your life and the changes you wish to make.
You will develop skills to achieve the changes you wish to make, designed to enhance your well-being and increase your overall sense of connection and happiness in your career, relationships, or any other aspect of your life.
Applying behavioral interventions based on mindfulness and compassion, we will focus on ways to create new thought patterns that help you better align your actions with your goals and reduce the symptoms of the trauma, anxiety, depression, or any other emotional burden you may be feeling.
I also provide psychedelic preparation and integration therapy for people who may be considering, or already have, explored that modality of treatment and are looking for grounding in their experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania I began a highly successful career on Wall Street, one that took a dramatic change following my narrow survival of a terrorist attack in India in 2008.
In the aftermath of that event I became a philanthropist, a Professor of Philosophy and Entrepreneurship at NYU Stern, and even a local gigging musician. These various pursuits culminated in enrolling in the Mental Health Counseling program at Hunter and becoming an Advanced Clinical Intern at Sentient Psychotherapy, where I hope to help others achieve their goals.
I draw from the diversity and breadth of these experiences to hold space for my clients to explore and reconstruct their own inner worlds.
